Simien Girl Runners, Spring 2010
Girls Gotta Run is happy to announce the formation of the Simien Girl Runners. Working with local schools and coaches in the Simien Mountains region in northern Ethiopia, Mr. Fantu Gola and his partners, who own and operate the Simien Lodge, an eco-lodge in this very remote and impoverished area, are overseeing the organization and development of the team. Ten of the most promising girls have been chosen. We will be posting photos of and information about all of them as soon as possible, in their new shoes and clothes!
